and estimator and I have also served as a retail sales manager.
One of the main dimensions of my career has been working with operation managers, contractors,engineers, and
project managers in order to maintain, construct or plan improvements for different types of facilities. My
experience is linked to the technical sectorof business.
I have learned through my experience that organization, planning, and communication are very important for
running efficiently as well as for meeting budgetary guidelines.
My most recent job is personally overseeing Univision’s regional broadcasting facility (120,000 sq. ft., 200
employees). To the usualconstraints of resources and time, is added the general responsibility of being continuously
on-air, broadcasting television and radio. My specific responsibilities include the maintenance of the HVAC (Air-
conditioning), Plumbing, Electrical, Landscaping, Housekeeping, Coffee Service, Fire Line Safety, and Security. I
also have to oversee the budget underthe contracts we have made with different contractors,using accounting
software. Anotherresponsibility is to reduce costs to our client when feasible, while maintaining a good quality
working environment for the clients’ employees. Presently, I am also the Project Managerfor the 8 months project
of waterproofing the exterior of the building.
I have helped reduce significantly the costs ofelectricity by replacing regular bulbs with LED bulbs, and I have
added redundancy to the HVAC systemthat has saved the company from being off-air a few different times this
year. I am LEED (Leader in Environmental and Energy Design) certified and I would like to use this knowledge
also to help your clients with cost savings.
