Work Experience
Lhoist North America (Producers of Quicklime)
Production Supervisor (Calera, Alabama) September 2015- Present
• Coordinated ongoing maintenance and housekeeping of the plant. Interpreted results of process control analysis and made adjustments to
optimize plant performance. Implemented root cause and corrective actions to remove production constraints and improve product quality.
• Supervised production schedules, production quality and on time delivery. Developed and maintained strong and clear communication and
rapport with plant personnel.
• Reviewed production orders, schedules, delivery dates and inventory levels to determine product availability.
Kiln System Engineer (Alabaster, Alabama) August 2014- September 2015
• Controls equipment in which limestone is burned to produce lime or carbon dioxide. Turns panel controls to start flow of materials, fuel, air,
rotation of kiln and speed of conveyors, and regulates draft and vent mechanisms. Adjusts automatic scale that controls amount of limestone
flowing into kiln.
• Conducts sample testing of hot limestone from kiln for chemical analysis. Observes material flow, air, temperature, fuel charts, and oxygen
gauges, and makes adjustments to maintain kiln conditions within specified limits. Keeps production records.
• Performs defect analysis reports and product audits. Conducts safety audits, maintains MSHA documentation, implements lockout-tag-out
procedures, and performs confined space entry examinations.
Lab Technician (Calera, Alabama) January 2014-August 2014
• Conducted and performed kiln samples, roller mill samples, ball mill samples, water pH testing, loss of lime ignition samples, limestone
screening, limestone chemistry analysis, lime chemistry analysis, and coal/coke moisture screening. Recorded and reported all data to
