1. For the rap genre I think that
this digipak is relatively
stereotypical due to the
conventions of stereotypical
rap videos being present in
the front cover. Immediately
you see the artist Snoop Dogg
in a tailored suit being flanked
either side by two white flashy
cars. This reinforces the notion
that the rapper is rich and can
afford all of the luxurious
things he once could not
afford. Behind Snoop is a
white mansion with the words
”Snoop World” on top. This
again reinforces the rappers
wealth and power now he is
rich, emphasizing that the
world is his to rule now he can
afford everything
The font used for the title of
the album again extenuates
the genre that the artists is
from. This is due to the fact
that rappers tend to show
their wealth through their
clothes and jewelry. This
again supports the argument
that Snoop Dogg can afford to
live this type of lifestyle.
The dogs in the front of the
cover help show how much
power the artist has. The breed
of the dog (Rottweilers) also
suggest that he is not someone
to be messed with and that
people should not only be scared
of him but also his wealth and
his power. He also has a white
shining behind him, this could
suggest that he feels godlike with
this newfound power that he
holds
