been active for thelast two or three years.Giving the fansthechanceto relive
the rockexperience again in a wholeday festivalwith someof the coolest local
bands,a coupleof the finest abroad bandsand lotsof interesting activities.

Egoz
A four-piece rock group from Cairo, Egypt formed in 2004.For almost a decade Egoz
have been asserting their influence on the Egyptian rock scene the best way they know:
creating a few original tracks that explain the band's diversity and roots, and then dishing
them out as one of the country's strongest acts. Throughout a long tiring journey of
rehearsing, working on new songs & recording songs the band gathered a collection of
10 songs which got the band’s debut LP released in April 2012 under the name of
“Temple of Small Things” & currently they’re preparing for their forthcoming record to be
released.
2. Invisible Hands
The Invisible Hands is the English translation of the band’s Egyptian Arabic name “El
Ayady El Khafeyya” was established during the summer of 2011. Their debut was
recorded in Cairo in May 2012, and two versions were released, one in Arabic and
another in English, with both on a limited edition double LP. Their second album, Teslam,
is currently out on CD with the LP being released in December.

TalentBattle of the Bands & The redbull bedroomjamcompetitionacrossthe Middle East
have releasedtheir1st
EP “Rainbow Escalator” earlierthisyear.

SimpleXityisaprogressive rockbandbasedinCairo, one of the well-knownnamesamidst
the undergroundmusicscene in Egypt. The bandhas releasedtheirdebutEP“Clickto Start”
back in2011. Each memberof the bandenjoysavarietyof differentgenresof music.The
presence of suchvariedinfluencescreatedthe band’soriginal versatile sound.

The intelligentmusicalmindof Youssef Abouzeid gotthe name of hisone man bedroom
project“Panstarrs”quietwell knowninthe undergroundindiemusicscene inaveryshort
periodof time as Youssef stretchedouthismusiconlinethroughsoundcloud&playinggigs
inhipplaces/venues.Youssef released the debutEP“Nothingness”backin2012 whichwas
an influential shoe gaze/indie musicpiece. HissecondEP “Yestoday”isthe product of a
collaborative processwithhiscousinNaderAhmed(fromthe electronicduoVoid) recording
and mixingthe album,andZuli (fromthe trip-hopduoQuitTogether) masteringit.
