Overview
Possessing strong business and IT understanding, and excellent organisational skills
have enabled me to successfully design and implement several infrastructure solutions
for various organisations. As an IT professional with over 10 years of experience, my
successful project completion is facilitated by an in-depth knowledge of IT Networking
infrastructure, an ability to foresee and identify potential issues, as well as skills to
rapidly build and maintain rapport with clients. I am very passionate about networking
and have a very strong work ethic.
Background/Career Objective
I am a certified and experienced Network Engineer with a stable employment history
that includes 10 years in the Australian Defence Force and almost 3 years with the
Public Trustee of Queensland. During this period, I have established a solid reputation
as a reliable and conscientious communications specialist who can work
independently and provide strong leadership to personnel. Although I appreciate
and continue to enjoy my current employment with the Public Trustee, I am now
ready for a fresh challenge. I am confident that I have acquired a broad knowledge
and skills that I can impart to others. My referees will confirm that I am an innovative
and capable employee with specialist knowledge and skills. I am seeking long-term
employment that motivates me through ongoing challenges, opportunities of learning
and professional development, and the availability of a career pathway.
Personality Snapshot
I am an approachable person, who has an engaging yet relaxed communication
style that breaks down barriers and encourages mutual respect. I have a healthy
sense of humour appropriate to the workplace. At the same time however, I am
passionate about what I do and set extremely high standards of excellence for myself
and the team. I am a natural leader who enjoys working with others, and
encouraging others to achieve to the best of their ability. I highly value and enjoy
professional development and education. This attitude is reflected in my self-initiated,
self-funded training to become a CCNP. My work and career is important to me as is
my supportive, loving family. I am a committed father that relishes time with my four
sons.
