Profile
Mr. Ng is a Senior Manager in the Advisory Services practice of Deloitte Transactions and
Business Analytics LLP in Los Angeles. He has over 15 years of financial consulting
experience providing valuation and consulting services across diverse industries,
including aircraft and truck manufacturing, interactive media and entertainment,
consumer and industrial products, professional services, semiconductor, technology and
telecommunications. Mr. Ng has performed valuations of business enterprises, business
interests, as well as intangible assets for the purposes of financial reporting, mergers
and acquisitions, restructuring, bankruptcy, tax reporting and planning, and litigation
support for trials and arbitrations.
Prior to Deloitte, Mr. Ng was a Manager in the Financial Advisory group of Kroll, a
subsidiary of Marsh and McLennan Companies, providing valuation and consulting
services to help clients mitigate business and financial risks, and achieve their
operational and financial objectives. Prior to his tenure at Kroll, Mr. Ng worked at
Charles River Associates (NASDAQ: CRAI), an economic consulting firm where he
performed valuations and economic analyses for the purposes of mergers and
acquisitions, restructuring, bankruptcy, and litigation support for state and federal
courts.
Mr. Ng is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter-holder and is a member of CFA
Institute and CFA Society of Los Angeles.

Valuation
• Advised clients with respect to buy-side opportunities, fairness opinions, pre-deal due
diligence, post-deal purchase price allocation and goodwill impairment testing
• Provided holistic services assisting clients on all aspects of the whole M&A lifecycle from:
o Financial Modeling

• Assisted clients in financial modeling for the purposes of budgeting and forecasting,
leverage buyouts (LBOs), and assessment of the internal rate of return (IRR) of potential
investments
• Performed business valuations on both publicly-traded and privately-held companies with
business operations domestically and internationally
• Performed valuations of intangible assets, such as trade names/trademarks, customer
lists/relationships, patented and non-patented technologies, contracts/agreements, in-
process research and development, and workforce, for financial reporting and tax
purposes
• Valued a wide variety of financial instruments including common and preferred equity,
partnership interest, option and warrant, fixed income and other financial derivatives, for
companies in all stages of development from early-stage startup to Fortune 100
companies
• Performed internal fair value review on hundreds of valuations of business enterprises
and intangible assets conducted by third-party appraisers for both publicly-traded and
privately-held internal audit clients
Litigation
• Assisted in defending a national accounting firm in a malpractice lawsuit regarding its
audit of a subprime mortgage lending company resulting in zero damages
• Assisted in defending a specialty coffee and coffeemaker client in a SEC investigation
related to the consideration of the valuation of reacquired rights in connection with
business combinations
• Estimated damages in a theft of trade secret dispute on behalf of a semiconductor
company involving place-and-route integrated circuits
• Assisted a gaming company in estimating damages involving the concept of how certain
types of video poker games were played
• Analyzed and estimated damages related to a trademark infringement in the apparel
industry
• Estimated damages in a patent infringement lawsuit involving printer technology used in
the gaming industry
• Estimated economic damages suffered by the U.S. sugar industry due to the alleged
false advertising of a major artificial sweetener seller on behalf of sugar growers,
processors and marketers
• Assisted one of the founders of one of the most popular social networking websites in
estimating the value of the website in connection with its acquisition by a major media
conglomerate
• Led a project team in estimating the value of a truck manufacturing subsidiary of the
world’s largest maker of commercial trucks in connection with an alleged fraudulent
transfer attempting to avoid payment won by a German truck maker in a previous
litigation in U.K., resulting in an award of over $1 billion for compensatory and punitive
damages to the client

• Estimated damages for an aviation company in a $2.5 billion antitrust lawsuit against a
major aircraft manufacturer by evaluating the business plan using discounted cash flow
and sensitivity analysis, analyzing financing feasibility, and advising attorneys directly in
deposing opposing experts, resulting in dismissal of the case in favor of the client and
generation of two projects from the client on different matters
• Estimated damages resulting from a failed merger of a major natural gas distributor by
conducting target company standalone and combined entity valuation, and estimating
the accretion value from potential synergies resulting from the merger
• Assisted one of the major NYSE specialist firm in defending an investigation conducted
by the SEC and NYSE in connection with the allegation of front-running
• Managed and oversaw firm-wide teams in conducting analyses and estimating damages
for matters such as Initial Public Offering (IPO) Securities Litigation involving more than
300 IPOs against their underwriters, resulting in motions granted in favor of the client in
the ongoing IPO Securities Litigation
