INTRODUCTION
Electronics is the science of controlling electrical
energy electrically, in which the electrons have a
fundamental role. Electronics deals with electrical
circuits that involve active electrical
components such as vacuum
tubes, transistors, diodes, integrated circuits,
associated passive electrical components, and
interconnection technologies. Commonly,
electronic devices contain circuitry consisting
primarily or exclusively of
active semiconductors supplemented with passive
elements; such a circuit is described as
an electronic circuit.
The electronic devices and their usages have
influenced our daily life in such a way that it is
impossible to spend even a few hours without
them. Right from the beginning of the day till the
time we go to bed, we use a large number of
electronic gadgets to simplify our work and to
solve our problems. From small alarm watches to
the complex computers, from mobile to the
camcorders, from kitchen to toilet, from bedroom
to office, everywhere electronic items can be
seen.
APPLICATIONS
OF
ELECTRONICS
 Aerospace industry –
Today with advancement in electronic in the
field of aerospace has open many impossible
ways to humans. Electronics is widely used in
aerospace such as Space shuttle, Satellite
power supplies, aircraft power management.
Even in commercial airlines there are
hundreds of instruments which are used to
measure different physical factors like
temperature, pressure, elevation, etc.
Power electronics have huge contribution in
spaces station and satellites. They all deal
with power supply and management.
 Medical –
The development of electronics, and
particularly that of computers has made
possible many of the technologies which
made possible for a doctors to examine
His patient. Many machines like x- ray, NMR
etc which is the combination of different
physics theorem and electronics. There are
tremendous advancement of electronics in
the field of medical sciences. There are few
recent innovation which shows how
important is electronics – Robotic Check-Ups,
Needle-Free Diabetes Care, Electronic Aspirin,
etc.
 Automobile –
Electronics are used in road vehicles, such
as: carputers, telematics, in-car entertainment
systems, etc. Initially electronics was used to
in cars to control engines. The first electronic
pieces were used to control engine functions
and were referred to as engine control units
(ECU). Later electronic with its huge demand
it was further used in following parts of cars
1.Engine
2.Transmission
3.Chassis
4.Active safety
5.Driver assistance
6.Passenger comfort
7.Entertainment systems
 Utility Systems –
Electronics has also applications in utility
systems. High voltage DC Transmission,
Excitation systems, VAR compensation, Static
circuit breakers, fans and boiler feed pumps,
supplementary energy systems(solar, wind)
Due to the developments in power electronics
field, the power transmission and distribution
field faces tremendous changes such as HVDC
transmission, Smart grid system. Conventional
power transmission happens based on AC
supply. It has a lot of disadvantages comparing
with DC supply based power transmission. Few
of the features of High voltage DC Transmission
(HVDC) are given below:
HVDC requires only two connectors. In case of
AC transmission three connectors are
mandatory. It leads to huge saving in the
installation charges.
When the transmission happens at high voltage
DC supply.
 Commercial –
With advancement in electronics last few
decades, electronics has also made its ways into
commercial sector. Advertising, heating, air-
conditioning power supplies, computer, office
equipment, elevators, light dimmer,
uninterruptible power supplies, central
refrigeration all are simple application of
electronics in commercial sector. With these
simple commercial appliances electronics has
made daily life much easier and better.
 Agriculture - With increase in global
warming electronics has proved very useful to
solve these problems in of agriculture. Today
many devices and system are builds with
combination of electronics and different other
techniques to monitor a crop. Like e-Agri
Sensors Centre and other sensor for sensing the
crop above and below the land and also
postharvest crop. These sensor monitor the crop
quality as well as the needs for crop during
agriculture. There are also several other
electronic gadgets which are used for measuring
the moisture level, nutrition level in soil and also
salinity of soil.
 Communication –
Electronic devices and systems are used for
the acquisition or acceptance,
processing, storage, display, analysis,
protection, disposition, and transfer
of information.
 Electronic devices and systems used in the
transfer of ideas and perceptions;
 Electronic sensors and sensory systems used in
the acquisition of information devoid of
semantic influence;
 Electronic devices and systems intended to
allow friendly forces to operate in hostile
environments and to deny to hostile forces the
effective use of electromagnetic resources.it is
very useful we can play games such as CS go,
GTA, prince of Persia.
 Industrial - Arc and Industrial furnaces,
blowers and fans, pumps and compressors,
industrial lasers, transformer tap changers,
rolling mills, textile mills, excavators, cement
mills, welding. These are the various parts of
industry where electronics appliances are used
widely. Nowadays in some manufacturing
industries and factories used robotics
technology are used widely. Such as in
manufacturing of cars.
 Residential –
There are also various electronic equipment
which make our life easy and better. Such as
air conditioner, cooking appliances, dryer,
personal computer etc. These equipment
make daily life easy. Nowadays, mobile phones
are used by each and every person.
 Military –
Electronics devices and machinery are also widely
in military. UAV and drones are some common
aerial electronics machines which are used in the
military for aerial attack as well as for monitoring.
There are also some electronics equipment used in
guns and airplanes which help soldiers to target his
enemy during frontline war. Magnetic anomaly
detector Night vision device, People sniffer, PNS
Hameed, infrared detector and night vision
camera etc. are some gadgets used by military.

  • 2. INTRODUCTION Electronics is the science of controlling electrical energy electrically, in which the electrons have a fundamental role. Electronics deals with electrical circuits that involve active electrical components such as vacuum tubes, transistors, diodes, integrated circuits, associated passive electrical components, and interconnection technologies. Commonly, electronic devices contain circuitry consisting primarily or exclusively of active semiconductors supplemented with passive elements; such a circuit is described as an electronic circuit. Right from the beginning of the day till the time we go to bed, we use a large number of electronic gadgets to simplify our work and to solve our problems. From small alarm watches to the complex computers, from mobile to the camcorders, from kitchen to toilet, from bedroom to office, everywhere electronic items can be seen. APPLICATIONS OF ELECTRONICS  Aerospace industry – Today with advancement in electronic in the field of aerospace has open many impossible ways to humans. Electronics is widely used in

Even in commercial airlines there are hundreds of instruments which are used to measure different physical factors like temperature, pressure, elevation, etc. Power electronics have huge contribution in spaces station and satellites. They all deal with power supply and management.  Medical – The development of electronics, and particularly that of computers has made possible many of the technologies which made possible for a doctors to examine His patient. Many machines like x- ray, NMR etc which is the combination of different
  • 5. physics theorem and electronics. There are tremendous advancement of electronics in the field of medical sciences. There are few recent innovation which shows how important is electronics – Robotic Check-Ups, Needle-Free Diabetes Care, Electronic Aspirin, etc.
  • 6.  Automobile – Electronics are used in road vehicles, such as: carputers, telematics, in-car entertainment systems, etc. Initially electronics was used to in cars to control engines. The first electronic pieces were used to control engine functions and were referred to as engine control units (ECU). Later electronic with its huge demand it was further used in following parts of cars 1.Engine 2.Transmission 3.Chassis 4.Active safety 5.Driver assistance 6.Passenger comfort 7.Entertainment systems
  • 7.  Utility Systems – Electronics has also applications in utility systems. High voltage DC Transmission, Excitation systems, VAR compensation, Static circuit breakers, fans and boiler feed pumps, supplementary energy systems(solar, wind) Due to the developments in power electronics field, the power transmission and distribution field faces tremendous changes such as HVDC transmission, Smart grid system. Conventional power transmission happens based on AC supply. It has a lot of disadvantages comparing with DC supply based power transmission. Few of the features of High voltage DC Transmission (HVDC) are given below: HVDC requires only two connectors. In case of AC transmission three connectors are mandatory. It leads to huge saving in the installation charges. When the transmission happens at high voltage DC supply.
  • 8.  Commercial – With advancement in electronics last few decades, electronics has also made its ways into commercial sector. Advertising, heating, air- conditioning power supplies, computer, office equipment, elevators, light dimmer, uninterruptible power supplies, central refrigeration all are simple application of electronics in commercial sector. With these simple commercial appliances electronics has made daily life much easier and better.
  • 9.  Agriculture - With increase in global warming electronics has proved very useful to solve these problems in of agriculture. Today many devices and system are builds with combination of electronics and different other techniques to monitor a crop. Like e-Agri Sensors Centre and other sensor for sensing the crop above and below the land and also postharvest crop. These sensor monitor the crop quality as well as the needs for crop during agriculture. There are also several other electronic gadgets which are used for measuring the moisture level, nutrition level in soil and also salinity of soil.
  • 10.  Communication – Electronic devices and systems are used for the acquisition or acceptance, processing, storage, display, analysis, protection, disposition, and transfer of information.  Electronic devices and systems used in the transfer of ideas and perceptions;  Electronic sensors and sensory systems used in the acquisition of information devoid of semantic influence;  Electronic devices and systems intended to allow friendly forces to operate in hostile environments and to deny to hostile forces the effective use of electromagnetic resources.it is very useful we can play games such as CS go, GTA, prince of Persia.
  • 11.  Industrial - Arc and Industrial furnaces, blowers and fans, pumps and compressors, industrial lasers, transformer tap changers, rolling mills, textile mills, excavators, cement mills, welding. These are the various parts of industry where electronics appliances are used widely. Nowadays in some manufacturing industries and factories used robotics technology are used widely. Such as in manufacturing of cars.
  • 12.  Residential – There are also various electronic equipment which make our life easy and better. Such as air conditioner, cooking appliances, dryer, personal computer etc. These equipment make daily life easy. Nowadays, mobile phones are used by each and every person.
  • 13.  Military – Electronics devices and machinery are also widely in military. UAV and drones are some common aerial electronics machines which are used in the military for aerial attack as well as for monitoring. There are also some electronics equipment used in guns and airplanes which help soldiers to target his enemy during frontline war. Magnetic anomaly detector Night vision device, People sniffer, PNS Hameed, infrared detector and night vision camera etc. are some gadgets used by military.
