7. BHEL RUDRAPUR
• It was 1st decided in march 1983 to establish a component fabrication
plant at a total cost of 95 lakhs for an annual turnover of rs 160 lakh in
first phase.
• How ever,Before taking a decision to set up CFP Plant,neither any
feasibility study was conducted nor a project report Prepared.the civil
work at the plant site started in December 1983 and completed in October
1984.
• The commercial production started in November 1984.the project cost on
completion worked out to Rs 177.52 lakhs.
• Now its total turn over is Rs 210 crores.
• It mainly works on BUS DUCT.
8. BUS DUCT
• Bus Duct are design considering the current and voltage
requirement ,short circuit requirement,the availability of space and
aesthetic aspects.
• It is used to carry very high current between the generator and
associated transformer in the power stations.in power
station,generator voltage varies from 12 KV to 24 KV whereas
auxiliary supply voltages are 3.3 KV,6KV or 12KV.
• Maintaince of Bus Ducts are much easier whereas cable system
always poses multiple problems.
• Bus Ducts are usually made of aluminum which provides safety and
reliable operation.
• It comprises of a current carrying part(conductor)which is
supported on insulators in a non magnetic dust tight enclosure.
