• Buk IT Inc in an online classifieds for textbooks
buying and reselling.
• It makes buying affordable, where you can buy any
book at 10% of its cost.
• It was listed as one of the TOP 25 Students Startups
in India by TATA in the year 2012.
3. How it works ?
• A member after choosing is right package is allowed
to post the details of the books, he is ready to sell,
online.
• The selling price of any book is fixed at 40% of its
cost.
• Similarly, a member can buy any book at 50% of its
cost.
• The book is resold again for 40% and one ends up
spending only 10% on any book he uses.
4. Our growth:
• Started off with zero monetary investments, the
revenue grew up to more than a lakh rupees in an
year.
• Now it has 8 employees in total and being operated in
4 colleges across Chennai.
• It was a widely talked about startup in the student
community and within an year of its incubation, it
grew as one of the Top 25 Student Startups in the
country.

was sold at an auction a year
