Aether

Thank you for sharing! What are your thoughts on a zero-point field being the
Lorentzian "aether", so to speak, that supports absorption and re-emission of quanta
and allows for the propagation of non-local effects?

As a beginner to quantum physics, field theory, and to best of my knowledge, I feel
Ether / Aether/ dark matter was a concept that was not popular or proven to exist. Also,
Einstein's opinion was that it would not be possible to change state of a far-off
entangled pair, without communicating the state to another particle pair.

This was contradicted by Bell, providing evidence that there was no need of
communicating the local state information to another pair (locality and causality). Bell
tried to state that local variable data was not required, as there exists correlation
between the two entangled pair and this made state change instantaneously without
transmitting the state info. Correlation does not mean state info is being transmitted
using media, either light, magnetic wave or ether. However, as there has to be
something that binds these pairs that allows the state change to be observed is
something that I feel needs more study. I find one interesting paper on this, which states
that a permanent interaction of matter with the ZPF exists enabling the phenomena of
entanglement

Now your curiosity about state transfers using Ather, needs further analysis, and I am
not the best person to reply. What I feel is that there exists some medium that links
particles and in quantum world we observe this phenomenon through entanglement. I
am unaware of the ether medium that absorbs quanta energy and retransmits these. In
electronic communications, we use repeaters, relays, for signal boost for forwarding to
next relay station. In quantum, subject to no cloning theorem, it is not possible to simple
copy paste the quantum state to next quanta, which is clearly shown by the distance
limits of current quantum communication.
