This is my Evaluation for Question 2 for the film The Last Pack

1. How Effective Is The Combination of Your Main Product and
Ancillary Tasks?
Throughout both the ancillary tasks which is the filmposters and the feature articles, we
decided as group that both of the posters will be portrait photos. Both of the ancillary are
displayed on my blogger; however we thought it was essential for to create feature articles
and posters because most films do this to effectively promote the release of the film to the
world. By promoting the film, the company is able to generate more sales into the business.
When producing a poster for the film, the poster shows all the different main cast roles,
directors, producers, pictures, rating etc. The reason for this is so that the audience gets a
good idea of what the films about and who’s involved in the film.
For our film posters, we used the pictures we had taken with the characters who
participated in the filmlike the main characters. The reason we did this is so that the
viewers can get some understanding of the film and the characters within the film. The first
poster shows Emmanuel being griped against the wall by Solomon. Wee said that this shot
was effective because it was teaser of what to expect in the film without ruining the film for
the audience. We also decide to add little quotes/slogans within the posters like “When
you’ve lost everything, how far will revenge take you?” We felt that this quote/slogan is
effective with the film because Solomon has this anger for Emmanuel and will do anything
to get his money back from him. In the Second film poster, we decided to use the shot of
Alec and Emmanuel starring into the camera. We felt this was a great shot because it’s as if
the characters are looking directly at you in the shot. Also this shot creates an effect as like
if you’re walking past the poster, it’s like the characters are starring at you whilst you walk.
Lastly we used different feedback responses from showing tasters of the filmto certain
viewers and used it on the poster to show the type of reviews were getting.
For the feature article, we thought it would be effective to show one main picture and the
rest of the feature article on another page. As a group we came to a decision of using
another shot of the main character looking directly into the lens of the camera. We decided
to this is so the audience could engage with the shot and get and understand to look at an
individual who’s ready to risk it all. We also added a quote in the feature article to go along
with the shot “Risk it all for the money”. We also decide it would be effective to add the
name of the main character “Packz” across the quote to add bit of a cross effective to the
feature article. We picked this layout for the feature article because it suitable space to
write enough information about the company, film and characters. We also decide d to add
another picture of the main character running afterwards. This is so the audience can see
and engaging photo as well as getting an understanding of the film. Lastly we decided to add
a little disclaimer for all which says “If you have a child that you are concerned about, please
don’t hesitate to listen to them”. The reason we decided this quote as a group because it
one of the overall message we’re putting across the whole film. If parents can help their
children in any way possible, they should be acting upon it to help them get out of their
problems. By parent listening and helping their children, they could help guide them onto a
more positive path.
