1. I. SHOW US AN ACTIVITY YOU ENJOY
DOING. TELL US HOW YOU THINK IT
CONTRIBUTES TO YOUR PERSONAL AND
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

2. SNOWBOARDING MAKES YOU GO BEYOND YOUR LIMITS
AND SMILE WHEN YOU REACH THE TOP
Try again when you
fail and learn hard
Aim high & Reach the
top
Manage risk & Stay
calm under pressure
Inspire and lead
others
Be independent and
cooperative
I’ve been going snowboard since 14 and I’ve learned
to:
3. To learn how to ride you
must be determined to do it
You will fell down hundred of
times and you will have to
stand up and try again
You have to challenge
yourself if you want to
succeed
CONSTANT LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT IS MY WAY TO
EXCELLENCE
In life and at work I am glad
to learn something new
I am not afraid to fail
because this is only a step
on my way to excellence
I am constantly developing
myself and improving my
skills 1
4. SETTING AND FULFILLING HIGH, CHALLENGING GOALS IS
THE ONLY WAY TO REACH THE TOP
I want to be at the top and I
am already on my way
To reach my aims I try to
work hard and develop
continuously
I am looking forward to new
ideas and challenging
projects
If you want to have a great
ride you have to get to the
top and elevators are not
always there for you
Ready slopes are good but
fresh, untouched powder is
so much better

5. MANAGE RISKS BUT STAND UP FOR THE CHALLENGE
In the mountains you have to
measure your abilities vs.
slopes difficulty well
But if you don’t challenge
yourself you never improve
While free ride you may fall
deep into the snow and you
must stay calm to help
yourself out of this trap
I try to evaluate project,
resources and bottlenecks
before moving to actions
I like challenging tasks as
they improve my limits
I never panic when
something goes wrong,
instead I prefer to focus on
fixing the problem

6. ABILITY TO INSPIRE AND DEVELOP OTHERS IS A
BACKBONE OF LEADERSHIP
I usually lead people either
friends or coworkers
I encourage development of
others and support it as
much as possible
I am sharing experience with
other people and eager to
learn something new from
them
Snowboard is real fun so I
agitated and inspired most
of my friends to try, and now
they ride
Many of them learned how to
ride with my help and
guidance

7. RECONCILIATION BETWEEN INDEPENDENCE AND TEAM
SPIRIT IS A KEY TO SUCCESSFUL DEVELOPMENT
When you ride on your own
you have to rely on yourself
When there is two or more
riders you have to act as a
team, ensuring everyone is
on track and visible
You can not ride / jump for
other person, but you can
explain him how to do it
I’ve never had problems
working independently, but
also enjoyed team work
When leading a team I track
the status of every member
regularly and try to support
without taking his
responsibilities from him

8. BUT ABOVE ALL YOU HAVE TO ENJOY WHAT YOU ARE
DOING AND SIMPLY HAVE FUN!!!
