  4. 4. Lack of self confidence • Self doubting oneself • Depression • Feeling of inferiority • Feeling of being unloved
  5. 5. What causes lack of self- confidence • Negative experiences • Loss of a close one • Dwelling unnecessarily on negative events • Criticizing yourself too harshly
  6. 6. More causes… • Evaluating outcomes of situations • Experiencing too much pressure • Setting unrealistic goals • Failure fear!
  7. 7. Saying… • Keep confidence, trust others and never lose hope!
  8. 8. Do you’ve self-confidence? • You can find out if you have low or high self-confidence by asking yourself the right questions…
  9. 9. And the questions are… • Are you eager to learn new things? • Do you take pride in doing good jobs? • Can you handle criticism without being emotional? • Is it ok? To win or lose? • Before you do anything, you think you can do it!
  10. 10. Increasing self- confidence • Think positive • Reward yourself • Praise yourself • Set realistic goals • Whenever something upsetting or disappointing occurs, be aware of your thoughts.
  11. 11. Moreover.. • Give yourself credit • Don’t attribute your achievement only to luck • Approach new experiences as opportunities to learn • Learn to be assertive
  12. 12. Assumptions that hinder self- confidence.. • ASSUMPTION- “ I must always have approval from every person in my life.” • ALTERNATIVE: • Perfectionist, unattainable goal • Develop personal standards!
  13. 13. Another assumption.. • ASSUMPTION- “My past remains all important and control my feelings and behavior in the present.” • ALTERNATIVE: • Don’t be helpless in face of your past.
