1. Happy Monday! We’re going to be examining the factors
that led to the spread of the Coronavirus throughout the
state and the country!
Monday, March 30th, 2020 Agenda for the Day:
Look at the two sets of graphics – charts
and maps -- from the Seattle Times and
the New York Times, then read the two
article updates on their coverage of
Covid-19 for today, 3/30/20. Why do you
think the predominance of cases in
Washington State have been in King
County? What are the factors? Thinking
about the distribution and spread of the
virus, why is it so large in areas like the
northeast and the northwest of the
country? I would like you to brainstorm
evidence and your analysis on the T-
chart, craft a two-chunk one paragraph
response to this prompt. Your final draft
will be typed up and submitted in
Skyward, and will be due this Friday,
4/3/20 by noon.
4. Take notes on the articles, then evaluate the
graphics, brainstorming factors that led to
the spread and consolidation in certain cities
and regions.
