Program Manager- ABB Safe and Secure Workplace: The North America Safe and Secure Workplace Program (SSWP)
program was to establish a regional organization with the ability to effectively and efficiently identify, manage, resolve, and
mitigate future incidents across the North America region. The ABB Secure Workplace Program was intended to optimize
individual, team, and enterprise performance through an organizational culture of respectful and responsible behaviors. To
achieve this new culture, ABB in partnership with outside vendors developed two ongoing and evolving training programs;
· Workplace Violence Prevention, ABB WPVP (Managers): The purpose of the training is to make all ABB sites safer by
equipping managers with simple tools and strategies to better recognize the early warning signs of workplace violence and
then to intervene to stop the escalation to violence. This strategy-based session focuses on preparing managers to
safeguard their own personal safety in specific situations through effective and appropriate strategies.
· ABB Performance Driven by Respect, ABB PDbR (All NAM Employees): Intended to optimize individual team and
enterprise performance through an organizational culture of respectful and responsible behaviors. This was achieved
through equipping all employees with simple tools and communication strategies intended to help them better get along
with fellow employees and perform at their peak performance level.
Travel Security Manager, ABB North America
· Worked with ABB Group to improve and streamline the overall travel security program in order to make the process more
user friendly for the business traveler.
· Reviewed all traveler information sheets prior to employees departing to any high threat area.
