TECHNICAL SKILLS
Projects Accomplished:
 FPGA implementation of Digital PID Controller completed at ISRO, Ahmedabad (Jan-April,
2014 – Semester 8):
Digital PID Controller implemented on FPGA using the MATLAB and VHDL
Language. PID Controller is used to control temperature of cooler in close loop system. The design
verification is done in MATLAB. The Simulation is done by Questa Sim software. For verification
of VHDL code Xilinx is used.
 Automatic Gear Controller with RPM display (Semester 7) :
It is a Microcontroller Atmel AT89C51 based circuit which controls the gear according to
the speed of motor. The speed of motor and gear will be display on LCD 16x2.The change in gear is
shown by defection in the Stepper Motor.
 Digital Modulation Tool (Semester 6) :
Using MATLAB, a Modulation tool was made. MATLAB GUI will show all types of
basic digital modulation techniques, their input and output with plots along with their constellation
plots.
 FPGA Implementation of 4x1 Multiplexer:
A Verilog code is developed to observe the functionality of 4x1 Multiplexer and it is
verified in Spartan 6 FPGA Board. The simulation is carried out in Xilinx software.
 Intercom using LM386 (Semester 5) :
A circuit designed using Transistors, Amplifiers, Speakers, Microphones to improve
communication in places like hospitals, offices, hostel, etc.
 Application of Encoder and Decoder (Semester 4) :
It is 3 bit Adder Circuit which was designed with Encoder (IC 74148) and Decoder (IC
7442). Sum of given input bits will be display on LED.
 Ball Follower Robot using Arduino :
Arduino is programed in such a way that the robot follows the instruction given from the
keyboard and also follows the ball.
 Applications of C and C++ Language:
1) Library Management: A code was developed in Ubuntu environment, which gave the
information of availability of book, whose Name or Author was given as input by the user.
2) Telephone Directory: Telephone directory was developed in Ubuntu environment, which gave
detail information of that user, when the telephone number or Name is given as input.
3) Student Academic Mark-sheet: A program was made to calculate the percentage and grade of
student, when marks are given as inputs.
 Webpages using JavaScript:
The use of events, Object, timeout, time-interval function and hyperlinks in webpages.
HTML and JavaScript are used as platform.
 ARM7TDMI :
LED blinking program was made in assembly language which was verified on ARM7TDMI
kit.
