The Industry 4.0 concept initially started back in 2011,
essentially driven by cyber-physical convergence, enabled
by IoT technologies, digitalization and automation, lacks an
important variable in the overall equation: PEOPLE
Industry 5.0, as the new development paradigm introduced
by the European Commission under the ground-breaking
perspective of Society 5.0, places the wellbeing of the
worker in the agenda.
