26. CIVATAglobal Representation & Advocacy
Rapid change requires representation and advocacy for all stakeholders:
Regulators need to better understand the sector and the issues they face
There is a need for a trusted and informed voice in the public arena
Regulators need solutions that work for everyone
CIVATAglobal as a trade association represents members’ views to
regulators, legislators and the public … open topics include:
The European Commission consultation on sustainable, digital transport
BVLOS applications in various countries
EASA rulemaking process
Monitoring of spectrum allocations
Global standards and regulatory bodies
27. A Significant Contribution … a Global Impact
With expertise in identifying regulatory and operational principles
underpinning drone and advanced aerial mobility missions, Hyundai can
make a significant contribution:
Having a key role in the development of CIVATA Global
Shaping a strong lobbying voice on a global stage
Showcasing Hyundai as a global infrastructure provider to the sector
Contributing to CIVATAglobal to help cities understand how
best to engage the community, aviation regulators, operators
and others launch drone/AAM operations
Help set up and establish training centres
28. Global Awareness … Local Action
City and district authorities and the emerging advanced air mobility (AAM)
sector need to develop regulations, policies and best practices
incorporating both aviation and local community interests:
Data privacy and general data protection
Environmental and wildlife protection
Charging and electricity supply
Identification of no-fly zones & rogue drone detection
Aeronautical intelligence such as high-rise construction
Cyber resilience
Community engagement.
29. Membership Services and Benefits
For further details on membership services and
benefits … see following slides
30. Global directory of UAM services
We are cataloguing the entire global
advanced air mobility market; identifying
companies and organisations involved
throughout the world in all aspects of the
industry.
This will provide civic authorities with a
detailed overview of all the parties involved
in supporting and operating AAM services.
It will also provide industry with a unique
insight into the entire value chain – and
provide companies with a list of suppliers.
Our team of researchers is updating and
adding to the directory listings on a regular
basis.
31. Regulations
The regulatory framework for urban air mobility
operations – separate from drone operations - is at
an early stage of development and differs from
region to region throughout the world. CIVATAglobal
constantly monitors and updates its database of
UAM rules.
32. Ask the expert
CIVATAglobal is developing a network of subject matter
specialists to develop content and provide advisory services to
members, including areas such as legal issues, safety
management, operations and community engagement.
CIVATAglobal members will be able to ask any question to our
expert portal and have an answer within 3 working days
33. UAM PROJECTS
The association is building a global database of UAM
and AAM projects which highlight how civic
organisations and industry are developing AAM
services in their communities.
34. Tender portal
The CIVATAglobal tender portal gives members an
up-to-the minute round-up of tenders for advanced
air mobility and related services.
35. Publications
Our digital library of publications dedicated to the AAM sector
evolves every week. It is being developed to provide our
members with global, regional and country-by-country
overviews of UAM/AAM guidelines.
• Subject categories include:
• Blockchain
• Deliveries by Drone
• Humanitarian Drone Operations
• Security
• Urban Air Mobility Regulatory Approaches - EASA & FAA
• UTM
• Vehicle Design
• Urban Air Mobility Operations
36. Market Studies
Our library of market studies is being developed to
give CIVATAglobal members a comprehensive
overview of all publicly available forecasts for the
AAM sector. As new, free-to-view forecasts are
published we shall add them to our list.
37. Case studies
CIVATAglobal is collecting a list of case studies
covering the following areas:
• Airport operations
• City AAM strategies
• Drone services
• Electric air taxi operations
• Port operations
• Veriports
The aim is to develop a growing understanding
of how cities, transport hubs and industry
partners are developing a range of advanced air
mobility services around the world.

40. Smart City Advanced Air Mobility
AAM is developing so rapidly that protocols,
standards and regulations for managing the civic
airspace are not fit for purpose.
This will inevitably lead to inefficiencies and
additional costs and delay the successful adoption of
AAM technology.
41. Our mission
Specifically, CIVATAglobal will:
Facilitate the dissemination of best-practice
between its members while acting as a hub for
knowledge sharing and networking
Draft, support and promote best practice
standards and procedures necessary for these new
technologies to be introduced safely and efficiently
Provide a powerful lobbying voice for the membership
with relevant regulators, media and other parts of
the aviation sector
Showcase “real world” examples of setting-up drone and
UAM operations
Create a forum for civic governments and industry to
communicate and collaborate
To support civic governments in the
successful adoption of safe, profitable,
environmentally responsible UAM
operations that benefit cities and
communities around the world
42. Member services
CIVATAglobal members will benefit from a plethora of valuable services
and intelligence resources via the membership website portal:
• Access to the Global Directory of all UAM stakeholders and service providers
• Guidance on laws and regulations for urban air mobility operations
• Access to an ask-the-expert portal
• Access to a global database of UAM projects
• A dedicated tender portal
• A one-stop shop library of UAM & AAM Publications
• Access to Market studies of publicly available forecasts for the AAM sector
• Access to Case Studies of how cities, transport hubs and industry partners are
developing a range of AAM services around the world
Members will also be able to access in-depth information resources for
obtaining finance, safety audits, community engagement, legal and
insurance services.
The Association will direct live UAM conferences and events that promote
UAM services virtually and physically as permissible.
