2. What is Climate
Change?
Climate Change is when there is
a change in the weather
patterns and related changes in
oceans, land surfaces and ice
sheets, occurring over decades
or longer.
3. Causes for rising emissions
* Cutting down forests (deforestation).
Trees help to regulate the climate by
absorbing carbon dioxide from the
atmosphere.
If we didn’t have trees then we wouldn’t have
oxygen and there would be an increase in
greenhouse gasses.
* Increasing livestock farming
cows and sheep produce large amounts
of methane when they digest their
food.
Burning coal, oil and gas
produces carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide
4. Climate Change in Australia
Climate Change has been a major issue in Australia since the beginning of the
21st century.
In 2013, the CSIRO released a report stating that Australia is becoming hotter,
and that it will experience more extreme heat and longer fire seasons because
of Climate Change.
5. How can we manage
Climate Change ?

something that the human race has
been trying to accomplish for years,
here is some of our ideas for
managing Climate Change,
