Managed security operations of company offices in Houston, Calgary, Anchorage, Midland, Tulsa
and Lafayette, as well as field site security for the Gulf Coast and off-shore platforms, Permian
Region, Central Region, Canada and Alaska, encompassing approximately 3,000 employees.
 Planned, developed and managed corporate physical security program to reduce risk
exposure and liability.
 Identified upgrades/corrective measures to reduce risk vulnerability at corporate office.
Upgraded the Access Control System to require card access in all passenger elevators and
implemented security upgrade of the main lobby with more security equipment and security
officers for more visibility in that area. These actions reduced theft in the office.
 Managed the development and implementation of access and perimeter control operational
procedures.
 Developed and managed corrective actions to upgrade the physical and technical position of
the site.
 Served as a liaison to field operations in implementation of physical security systems to
reduce theft and damage to company property.
 Developed and implemented policies for drug search and random drug testing policy and
procedures which were utilized throughout the organization. The drug failure rate dropped
from 28% to 4% within 3 years with significant reduction on drilling sites as well. The
policy was also used in post-accident incidents.
 Managed workplace violence issues and aggressions in the workplace by working closely
with other managers in preventing and managing high-risk behavior.
 Conducted investigations of alleged or suspected violations of laws, policies, and regulations
and recommended corrective actions or discipline, up to and including termination. Worked
closely with Internal Audit in the investigation of alleged or suspected violations of laws,
policies and regulations.

 Developed security/safety policy and programs for Canadian work camps. This was the first
contraband search program for Apache and resulted in lowering the drugs, alcohol and
contraband in the work camps.
 Developed close relationships with high-level domestic law enforcement, in-country security,
security agencies and private sector counterparts to gather intelligence information on
criminal activity and potential environmental activists to reduce theft and fraud in the oil
patch, costing millions in losses annually.
