4. Breakdowns
โข Breakdowns can be extremely dangerous especially on a motorway
โข On motorways evacuate passengers unless there is more danger outside
โข On other roads passengers should stay inside vehicle
โข SOS phone or a mobile phone to call assistance (112)
โข Inform base
โข Supervise and reassure passengers.

โข Report to Police within 24 hours, if required
7. Passenger illness - emergency
โข Access the situation:
โข Call ambulance if required
โข Give first aid if needed
โข Reassure and make comfortable
โข Reassure other passengers โ they may be upset
8. Passenger illness โ non emergency
โข Access the situation:
โข Continue the journey when person feels well enough
โข Make sure someone is there to look after them
โข When you arrive tell parent/carer/staff what has happened
