Recent Geography graduate with a 2.1 BSc honours degree from the University of Exeter,

Education
University of Exeter (2012-2015)
I developed my literary ability through writing in depth articles, essays and papers in
expository scientific pros, using conceptual and analytical thinking.
I discovered a proficiency in GIS programs such as ArcGIS and ERDAS Imagine, and
gained experience in coding using Python and R to manipulate large sets of spatial
data.
I have consistently demonstrated good leadership and communication skills in
multiple group projects and presentations, as well as in my Vice Captaincy role in the
University of Exeter Badminton club.
I showed I can work and research well individually or within small teams to create first
class graded articles.
I learnt crucial time management skills through balancing multiple deadlines and
extra-curricular responsibilities.
I have advanced knowledge of the natural world through the study of physical
aspects of Geography with particular emphasis on Glaciology and Meteorology.

2. Problem solving and flexible thinking were required of me, especially during

Vice-Captain of the University of Exeter Badminton Club (3rd

I was the first port of call for over 200 social members who relied on me to
organise and run 3 badminton sessions per week.
I successfully introduced new and engaging events into the club calendar,
promoting them compellingly on social media and during club sessions.
I frequently liaised with the club captain and badminton coordinator to improve
the club for future years by addressing opportunities and issues alike.
Publicity Officer for the University of Exeter Badminton Club (2nd
Year)
I worked to create graphics and other promotional material to advertise the club
to the wider university.
I was responsible for keeping the club Facebook page and website organised and
up to date, as well as posting advertisement for events.
Grand Challenges (1st
Year)
An extra-curricular group project exploring the concept of ‘Transhumanism’. It was
a fascinating research task which inspired us to create media, such as posters,
business cards and even a short movie to enhance our presentation.

Hobbies
Sports: I love playing Badminton and Tennis especially.
Gaming and writing: I have my own blog site which I enjoy pouring my time into. It
has helped me develop new styles of writing after my more analytical degree.
Travelling: I travelled Europe alone for a month in August, a challenging but
incredibly rewarding experience which helped me boost my planning skills,
independence and confidence in unfamiliar circumstances.
