I am a graduate with a first class degree in BSc Honours in Mathematics from the
University of Central Lancashire in 2012 and I regard myself as a conscientious,
reliable and honest person who gives 100% in everything I do. I am also very

Relevant Skills
 Presentational experience (Microsoft PowerPoint) with mathematical modelling;

(e.g. probability functions, manipulate tabular data into regression and

 Also studied modules involving Differential Equations and Vectors and Tensors
and wrote a project dissertation on differential geometry for 3-D curves.

2.  Used several mathematical software programmes such as Minitab (manage time
series plots) and Maple (create complex formulas for differential equations).
 Vast experience with multiple Microsoft Software applications including Word,
Excel and even Access; so I can very competent with working with computer
software and producing detailed, effective and clearly written documents, as well
as using scatter charts, histograms etc. to display collected data.
 Throughout my time at university; I have enjoyed collaborating with others, and
have taken charge of many team presentations/projects (e.g. organised
meetings, schedules and roles within the team based on skill and experience).

Interests and Achievements
 Took part in various “Math Challenge” exams where I gained many certificates
for success and completion, as well as visiting maths lecture days at college.
 Read many books in relation to Mathematics, including: “The Man Who Loved
Only Numbers”, about Paul Erdos, and his mathematical ideas.
 I took part in voluntary unpaid work for the Warrington Boys Brigade, a local
Christian group in which I helped to teach classes in sports, culture, event
planning etc. This helped me to improve my leadership and teamwork skills.
 I had a shadowing placement at Warrington Borough Council (WBC), which
helped me to improve my awareness of how the council helps the community.
 I am a moderately healthy and fit person. I am a non-smoker and I keep myself fit
by frequently jogging and by exercising at home. I have played tennis, football,
cricket and badminton. I frequently play pool, darts and poker on a sociable level.
 I enjoy playing the guitar and ukulele, writing and creating songs with my band in
my free time and spending time out with my friends at cinemas, travelling etc.
 I’m a frequent visitor to gigs and I have recently started to collect art pieces. As
well as German and Spanish; I have recently learnt Greek and Dutch languages.
