Aplochiton zebra. During my dissertation I was involved in the first captive breeding of this
species.

developing oil industry. Projects have included:
• Lead for Marine Mammal Observing Campaign
• Sound Monitoring for socio impacts relating to oil development activities
• Oil spill response training and animal rehabilitation procedure development.

Charged with undertaking environmental projects in relation to oil field development in
the Falklands Islands.

Position designed to allow the holder to test several departments in the Falkland Islands
Government for career options and development of succession planning. Experiences
included leading a capture & release exercise to the remote islands around the Falklands
with Dr. Mike Brooks on behalf of the South Atlantic Research Insitute.

Duties included 140 – 180 days/year aboard randomly selected trawlers and longliners
licensed in the Falkland Islands to monitor catch statistics, health & safety, bird
interaction mitigation and license infringements. Also included collection of biological
samples and 400+ morphological data entries of targeted species daily along with
associated data entry. Reports for both the scientific and fishing community were
required to be completed for each vessel.
