SKILLS AND ABILITIES Relationship& Interaction  I am a sociable person, that like to meet people all the time. Across my life as a student and my teaching experience, I have achieved the development of my Interpersonal communication skills, such as Collaborate, Socio-cultural sensitivity, Resolve conflict, Facilitate groups, and Training, which directly help me in dealing with each other and Teamwork. Communication  My social behavior in conjunct with my education and working experience in different countries, helped me to learn different idioms which have facilitated me the development of fundamental verbal and written communication skills, as Report writing, Listen and speak to groups, Promote & Negotiate. Management & Leadership  During my work as a Professor in the Universidad de Oriente, I had the opportunity to assume some administrative positions as a Head of the Aquaculture Department and as Director of the School of Marine Applied Sciences, in which I learnt and developed some Management and Leadership skills, of which I could mention Organizing & Planning, Set Goals, Coordinate & Manage Projects and Make & Implement Decisions. Analytical  During my studies and my career as a scientist researcher , I had to develop the capacity to record and manage data, analyze & problem-solving, as well as learn, some statistical and computational skills, in order to conduct the logical processing of information and data to obtain the necessary results to testing the associated hypothesis to my research works. Creative  The teaching job is by nature a creative work, where is indispensable to process, generate and connect ideas and information to create new and interesting contents, permitting conceptualize, synthesize and integrate the knowledge, that you wish to be transmitted, facilitating the visualization and the fast learning process. Physical & Technical  Having under my supervision the Ichthyology Labs of the university was necessary to do frequent field work to capture and maintain alive marine and freshwater animals under laboratory conditions, to realize the teaching practices and research. Simultaneously, was necessary to check the performance and good functioning of some equipment to ensure adequate results. In addition, during my B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. studies I received training in different techniques biochemical and genetics molecular, such as solutions preparation, enzyme activity determination, electrophoresis, DNA extraction, amplification, cleaning and sequencing, Phylogenetic Analysis, cellular staining, Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization, etc. Computational and Statistical  I can learn easily to use different software's when there are manuals and/or tutorials. I have extensive knowledge of different office software as: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; as well as other more specific programs that include: PRIMER & PERMANOVA add-on (Statistics), SPSS (statistics), PAST (Statistic), MEGA (Genetics), ARLEQUIN (Genetics), DNASP (Genetics), TPS Series (Morphometry), between others. Idioms  My experience studying and working in different countries (Venezuela, Brazil & Ireland) have allowed me to learn different languages as Spanish (Maternal language), English (Professional skill) and Portuguese (Professional skill).
