Re: Applicant — Dr. Dwight B. Reimer
To Whom It May Concern:
I have known Dwight Reimer for approximately one year during which time we worked as
colleagues at Argosy University in the Academic Affairs Department. Dwight, serving as
Department Chair for the College of Arts and Sciences, excelled in his role, earning the highest
praise and respect from faculty members and administration. Dwight is a skilled administrator and
teacher, juggling multiple tasks with ease with a positive attitude. He is always upbeat, quick to
respond, and collaborative within team projects. He is the first to volunteer to take on additional
roles or tasks and does so with a smile. He is highly skilled in the areas of innovation, pedagogy,
information technology, and business management. Best of all, Dwight thinks big. He is creative and
open to new experiences. An inventor at heart, he always looks for ways to improve systems and sets
his expectations and standards high.
His greatest skills, however, are interpersonal in nature. It is important to note that Dwight’s
consistently stellar execution of job duties is just a miniscule part of what makes him a wonderful
human being. He deeply and passionately cares about students and colleagues, maybe more than
anyone I’ve met. He comes alive when engaged in conversation or teaching and is always eager to
share his heart and knowledge. Dwight is discerning, wise, and thoughtful. He is sensitive to those
who need his support, always reaching out to lend a hand or offer a reassuring word. His
commitment to his values and ethics is admirable and he is a superb role model for me and many
others. When I had difficult students that needed guidance, I often asked them to meet with Dwight.
Several of these students became regular visitors to Dwight’s office for mentorship; a role that was
above and beyond what was expected. He deeply cares for others and prioritizes relationships above
all.
I could not offer a stronger recommendation for Dwight Reimer. He is a wonderful colleague,
mentor, and friend. Any institution or community would be extraordinarily lucky to benefit from his
kindness and tireless selflessness in pursuit of transforming the lives of others.
