to work in the mailroom where I was delivering mail, applying postage, make deliveries
to other offices, keep deadlines, carried money checks to offices, distribute publications,
work independently, assisted with special projects when needed, use UPS/FED EX
software, keep daily logs of deliveries and postage used. Assist employees with large
deliveries, keep area clean and organized. Answered to one supervisor and one execu-
tive supervisor. I was promoted as high as I could get in the mailroom so once a posi-
tion opened in the printshop, I was promoted from mailops to Reprographics.!

I was then promoted to work in the reprographics dept to serve as lead worker of the
print shop and district photographer, this required ability to multitask, quality control, var-
ious admin duties, special projects for executive offices, meet deadlines, operate and
maintain production copiers, printers, and plotters. Inventory management for whole dis-
trict, copier consumables, refer large problems to supervisor, ability to work indepen-
dently and keep an eye on detail, work offsite on photo projects, meter reading data-
base for billing on copiers, keep and report invoices to proper depts/supervisor. Serve
more than 1300 employees, ability to use microsoft programs - access, excel, power-
point and word, as well as adobe photoshop, adobe in-design, and various copier com-
mand programs, fax, email, and mac, support team - audio/ visual. Using Microsoft
Powerpoint I maintained the Houston District photo library. Over the years employed
with Texas Department of Transportation, most of my time was spent in Administrative
Services as mailroom and reprographics employee. When needed, I filled in for em-
ployees that could not make it in to work due to weather related events, this includes
help with multiline switchboard.!
