That is Cuddles, the bear, sitting in the stroller. Guess who that is sitting in front?
When I was 1 year old, my Grandma and Grandad gave me Cuddles the pink teddy bear. He was soft and pink and … you guessed it… cuddly! He had a tag on his back that said his name was Cuddles. I took Cuddles everywhere.
A few years later my baby brother was born. Grandma and Grandad gave HIM a teddy bear too – just like mine except his was brown. My brother’s bear had a tag saying ‘Cuddles’ too! My parents decided we had better name this bear Snuggles instead.
One day, when I was about 3, we went to the shops. I took Cuddles with me… but when we got home, I realised I did not have Cuddles anymore. I didn’t know where he was. I was so upset! The shops had closed so we couldn’t go back and look – but my Dad went back anyway, and a security guard let him in. He found Cuddles sitting on a bench where I had left him! I was so glad to see him again.
I still have Cuddles, but he looks a bit older now… and so do I!
