  6. Riassumendo le technical challenge. Re matching richiede computational power, power consumption e.g. datacenter. Mission critical accurate, tanti tipi di pattern diversi. Enormi qntità di dati(connessione, ram, tb dati genomica)

Nasce l’esigenza di un’ architettura per il riconoscimento di espressioni regolari all’interno di un flusso di dati dotata di un’elevata capacità computazionale che sia in grado di gestire una grande mole di dati nel minor tempo possibile. Tirex si propone di fornire tale servizio garantendo consumi energetici ridotti, velocità di elaborazione elevate, accuratezza nel riconoscimento dei pattern e facilità di riconfigurazione. L’accuratezza nel riconoscimento dei pattern è fondamentale sia nel campo della sicurezza informatica per il filtraggio di pacchetti potenzialmente malevoli che nel campo della genomica per il sequenziamento del dna.

Da proiezioni di mercato nella medicina personalizzata vediamo come il trend dica che sia un mercato che sta esplodendo e come da qui a 5 anni si prosspetta che cresca ancora di più ad esempio il settore che garantisce un mercato maggiore sia quello della nutrzione e benessere personalizzati, ma anche l’assistenza medica personalizzata. Nel 2010 si diceva già che i precursori stessero investendo il 3-4% del loro budget in rd per l’analisi dei marcatori genetici ( relazione tra una malattia ereditaria e la sua causa genetica) Le stime dicono inoltre che le medicine personalizzate hanno alte probabilità di successo e che possono imporre un prezzo più alto. Quindi se da un lato il cliente risparmia anche le compagnie avranno un return on investment più alto o comparabile rispetto a medicine di massa
  9. Da questo grafico vediamo come gli ids si stiano tutti muovendo verso soluzioni basate su hw. Dati di mercato dell’anno scorso dicono che sono stati spesi 386 mld sulla sicurezza dei pc, 172 mld nel rendere sicuri dispositivi iot, altro tema di grande interesse, e 113 mld sulla sicurezza di dispositivi mobile
  10. Da qui abbiamo cercato di identificare i nostri potenziali clienti.
  11. La nostra idea è B2b  business to business Dal momento che chi potrebbe essere interssato sono laboratori di genomica, e i vendor di antivirus o di sistemi sicurezza delle reti
  12. Noi pensiamo di raggiungerli tramite vendit diretta della nostra soluzione, e di farci conoscere anche tramite email di marketing e pubblicità online
  13. Per quanto riguarda i nostri competitor abbiamo ne abbiamo identificati 3 principali. Due sono soluzioni software open source che sono grep e flex. Che garantiscono la flessibilità al problema del pattern matchin ma non le performance che sono richieste per poter analizzare le quantità di dati di cui invece bisogna tener conto. L’altro è ap una soluzione hw….
  14. Pensando a come vendere il nostro prodotto abbiamo identificato tre vie essenziali
  15. Come as a service, quindi una soluzione basata su cloud, come componente integrato da vendere, o come ip che poi il cliente configurerà in base alle esigenze. Questo perché per esempio un laboratorio di genomica non dovrebbe avere come competenze interne quelle di un sistemista, o di fpga. Al che una soluzione as a service li agevolerebbe. Mentre per l’ambito di sicurezza informatica potrebbero esserci esperti di dominio hw e sicuramente avrebbero maggiore necessità di includerlo nel loro prodotto.
  16. Nella nostra visione futura pensiamo di raggiungere un prototipo iniziale che ci consenta poi di testare il nostro business model e quindi incominciare ad aprire il mercato. Entro settembre di quest’anno pensiamo di portare le migliorie tecniche richieste che ci consentirebbero di far evolvere ulteriormente il nostro prodotto e quindi entro la fine dell’anno di arrivare a una versione quasi finale. Che pensiamo di raggiungere entro la metà dell’anno prossimo. Se i volumi di mercato aumentassero abbiamo pensato di andare a sfruttare le istanzef f1 di amazon w s che sono istanze di fpga su cloud
  17. E infine ecco il team di tirex che è composto da alessandro comodi e da me davide conficconi. Siamo entrambi due studenti di master di ingegneria informatica al politecnico di milano. In particolare i nostri interessi di ricerca sono su architetture dei calcolatori e il machine learning. Alessandro ha poi un particolare interesse per la sicurezza informatica mentre io sono più interessato a dispositivi deidicati intelligenti.
