During my study at university, I was able to manage my study schedule, part-time employment and
additional training. I was also able to complete my training in Workplace Health & Safety, employee
behaviourandconflictmanagement before I graduated. I believe these training sessions substantially
extendmyabilitytoworkinteamsandcommunicate effectively with other colleagues. As a graduate, I
completed a student placement in the Human Resources department where I learned teamwork,
interpersonalandtime-managementskills. Duringthe six months period with my previous employer, a
non-profit organisation, I edited the employment selection criteria, updated discrimination policies,
organised an induction event and helped to develop an internal communication project for the
organisation. All these tasks simplified the paperwork related to their employment process.
As youwill see frommyCV,I obtainedaMaster degree in ProfessionalAccounting in the following year
because I was inspired by the previous internship. Accounting appeals to me because it allows me to
have a complete financial understanding about the organisation and enables me to network with all
departments. In my experience as a tax accountant, I had an opportunity to improve my accounting
skills and practise my MYOB skills. I became curious and learned more about other systems such as
Xerox and Elite. I believe that I am therefore confident to adapt and familiarise myself with all
tax/accounting operating systems.
