LEC Partners with Distrix Networks to Provide
the Highest Level of Security in IIoT Enablement
Joint Presentation on Real Life Challenges and Solutions for IIoT Security for Oil
and Gas Scheduled at ENTELEC Fall Series on October 20
LEC, Incorporated, industrial automation engineering and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
experts, announced today it has formed a strategic partnership with Distrix Networks Ltd.,
experts in simple, secure IIoT connectivity, to provide the highest level of security and reliability
to IIoT clients.
“Distrix is a technological leader in providing secure network connectivity as proven by their
success in deploying their Software Defined Network (SDN) solutions for multiple US
Government Programs such as the US Predator Drone.” said LEC’s Director of IIoT Strategy
Brian Rosema. “Security of LEC client data is a top priority, and our partnership with Distrix
expands our ability to provide the most simple, secure IIoT connection possible. Additionally, it
allows us to provide an optimized level of service and security without the need for costly
equipment upgrades or complex network changes.”
Distrix was created from a US Government initiative to securely and reliably connect complex
sensor networks. Distrix is the Software Defined sensor network inside the US Predator Drone
and control network for Department of Defense Smart Grids, providing automated edge controls
and reliability for power generation systems built during the Cold War.
Distrix is now enabling the Industrial Internet, providing a simple, secure way for industrial
devices to connect to the IoT, enhancing data for Big Data analytics, and automating edge
controls to improve processes in real time, transforming existing customer equipment into next
generation software defined converged networks.
