2. Why we chose our film name:
In the deconstructions produced earlier on in pre production,
it was evident that every title was short, snappy and to the
point. Taken, Iron Man, The Gift are some examples. Rather
than having a wordy title that people are likely to forget, as a
group we felt as if it was essential for our title to be short and
to the point. We also thought that because we are showing a
trailer, the audience have limited time to remember the film
title and remember what it is to research it or looked into
cinema viewings.
3. The conclusion was that most thriller films have
short snappy titles, making us choose our title to
be “Seized”. This automatically gives audiences
the narrative of the film. In one word the
audience can guess that someone or something is
going to be taken, making an impression.
4. During the first few sessions of planning our trailer we
brainstormed. I had an idea that due to the story line
being that Amelia gets kidnapped that the trailer can
end on her best friend- Bella being circled by the
antagonist. This circle around her picture would then
form ‘e’ of ‘Seized’ as the circle would be like this:
We want this to be an iconic feature of our trailer and
title, and something that people will remember.
