2. Week One
The news story I’ve chosen is one on about 19
year old Michael Castle in the Croydon
Advertiser who has launched a disciplinary
camp to teach young teens discipline.
Although this news is hard news, it can still
become beneficial to the target audience 12-16
year olds who are going down the wrong path
and a motivation factor too that they can get
something out of life.


3. Week 2
 My news website will have a target audience
of 12-16 year olds.
 The main focus of this website is to raise the
awareness of local issues involving young
people with extra emphasis on hard news.

 This story would be of relevance as it’s every
teenager’s dream to go and watch their
nation perform at the Olympics and the fact it
only happens every 4 years makes it that
extra bit special. The Olympics also gives
teens.


 This story has been made relevant because of
the fact that a 15 year old has won 4x 100
relay at the July European Championships.
 This piece of hard news raises more of an
awareness of 12-16 year olds and inspires
those on the wrong path or those who want
to be successful in life.


 This story is of relevance to my product as
it’s hard news and is relevant to my target
audience because it’s new and informative.
This story is designed to raise awareness for
those of the age of my target audience
(12-16) and teach the fact that gang culture
is wrong.

audience because again it back to the idea of
raising awareness and it’s important for
youngsters to know just what the future holds for
them as well as what’s going on now.
 This is also relevant to my product because this
is hard news with a more serious tone to it.

 This story may have some relevance as it has
soft news which this website is meant to have
some of.
 It’s relevant to the target audience as you’d
expect 12-16 year olds around the local area
to take an interest in their national football
teams affairs.
