Faith Newman is an influential music executive who was one of Def Jam's first five employees and helped launch the careers of artists like LL Cool J, Nas, 2 Chainz, Joey Bada$$, and Just Blaze. She signed Nas to Columbia Records in 1991 and was instrumental in releasing his classic debut album "Illmatic." Currently, Newman is the Head of A&R and Head of Catalog Development at Reservoir Media Management, one of the top ten publishing companies.
