• He was born into the town Stratford-upon-Avon
• He attended a free grammar school in Stratford.
He did not go to a University.
• William did receive a good education when he
was young.

• His parents were John and Mary Shakespeare.
• His father was a glove maker and tanner.
• He also was an illegal sheep wooler.
• His mother Mary inherited farm land from her
father.
• He was the first of his parents children to
survive. His first two older sisters died of the
Black Plague.
