Coffee is a popular beverage made from roasted coffee beans, the seeds of berries from the Coffea plant native to Africa. The plant has been exported around the world and is now cultivated in over 70 countries, primarily in equatorial regions. The two most common varieties grown are arabica and robusta coffee beans. Ripe coffee beans are picked, processed, dried, roasted to varying degrees depending on desired flavor, ground, and brewed to produce coffee.
