The orientation of the building
The orientation of building that I have chosen
to propose is directly north east as it optimise
the use passive heating and co0lling techniques
among with renewable technology. There is
more glazing area on the south east elevation
which will allow natural light and heat from the
sun. The buildings south elevation side has
an existing apartment so it needs to be
1 hour fire rated wall but south east side
I have put high performance triple glazed
curtain walling .
Site plan- Key Notes
Site is an existing mostly level car park with
the river barrow to the west ,vacant site to the
North and East and existing apartments to the south vehical
access to the site will be from the northalong the river barrow with
barrow track.pedestrain from Haymarket to the south
The building entrance : the main entrance of the building will be
located on the west side.the barrow track and Cox's lane trafic will be
manage with the use of road markings and clear signage.A site
planning permission notice will be placed at this entrance area.
padestrin walkway: the existing pedestrin walking will be change on
barrow track. the barrow track will be overhang from the main swimming
pool .new tress of hard wood will be planting on the north west sidethe
walkway will give access into the main entrance of the proposed leisure
centre.independent from vehicle approach route. newly installed street
lighting and park benches will be provided a moreaccessible walkway and
enhance exprience.

The Leisure and sport centre which consists of two swimming Pool,
Main Pool will be Training Purpose and another one will be leisere.
the building will have two separate changing facilities for both Gym
and Pool.There will be two squash court, A game room and cafe.there

and Stair no 3 will lead into a
protected corridor and to a rear Entrance connect
with ground floor to first floor only .
All stairs are in accordance with TGD M
1.2.4.1.2 - TGD L 1.1 - TGD B Part B1 (1.3).

Service Shaft:
Service shaft to be 2x12.5mmwith 60mm fire
resistant,
Gypsum Plasterbord construction, including all
access panels fitted with smoke seals at
access panels points.
Curtain Walling:
APA curtain walling system, TB50 SG
system which will also be used to support
structurally.
Double glazed Units incorporated. All
joints to be weathered using silicone seals.
Double glazed unit sizes - 1500mm x
1500mm.
Doors:
Internal -
Protected escape routes will be 60 minute resistance.
Doors will open in the direction of escape but not onto
an escape route as per TGD B2006 1.4.3.3. Escape route
doors will be fitted with an electromagnetic that will
allow doors to close in the event of fire.
60 minute fire doors will be installed to all stair cores,
store rooms and where needed.
Fire doors will have a vision panel to comply with TGD M
Diagram 10. Intrumescent strips, smoke seals. Doors
automatic closer's will be fitted to all fire doors.
External -
The main entrance had a lobby entrance with electronic
Slidding doors. There are activated by a sensory system. The
clear width of the opening will be 2000mm and a height
of 3000mm. The Doors will meet the requirement set out
in TGD M 1.2.
Structural Glazing:
There will be Structural glazing between Cafe and Leisure Pool
Comply With TGD 'B'
Wall Build Up:
Internal Partition Solid -
The Plasterboard and finish varies throughout the building as each
zone has different requirements (fire) and uses. The basic build up is
a 2.5mm Plasterskim, 2x12.5mm Plasterboard, 100mm Steel Stud
Swimming Pool:
Design guidance for the swimming pool
area design and construction is taken from
the metric handbook and various Sports
England Documents. Both swimming Pools share the
same filtration system but share separate
heating systems. There will be a store for pool
equipment in the area and the lane ropes
will be kept at the return end of the pool in
the service corridor. Lighting in pool in
accordance with Sport England Artificial
Sports Lights.
The main pools will have a "Poolpod" Lift
installed to facilitate wheelchair users and leisure
pool will have step on it .

Swimming Pool:
Design guidance for the swimming pool
area design and construction is taken from
the metric handbook and various Sports
England Documents. Both swimming Pools share the
same filtration system but share separate
heating systems. There will be a store for pool
equipment in the area and the lane ropes
will be kept at the return end of the pool in
the service corridor. Lighting in pool in
accordance with Sport England Artificial
Sports Lights.
The main pools will have a "Poolpod" Lift
installed to facilitate wheelchair users and leisure
pool will have step on it .

this building will have 3 stair, Stair will be Precast
concrete stairs . Exposed board
panel finish on concrete with Lite yellow colour.
All doors 60 minute
fire rated with smoke seal & automatic
closer to all stairs, opening in direction of
escape. All stairs cores to have 1m²
automatic opening vent, with linked to fire
alarm.
All 3 stairs will be fire protected up to 60min
including any glazing incorporated into the
shaft design. Stairs No.1 will lead directly to
an external exit. Stairs No. 2will be from basement
and Stair no 3 will lead into a
protected corridor and to a rear Entrance connect
with ground floor to first floor only .
All stairs are in accordance with TGD M
1.2.4.1.2 - TGD L 1.1 - TGD B Part B1 (1.3).

store rooms and where needed.
Fire doors will have a vision panel to comply with TGD M
Diagram 10. Intrumescent strips, smoke seals. Doors
automatic closer's will be fitted to all fire doors.
External -
The main entrance had a lobby entrance with electronic
Slidding doors. There are activated by a sensory system. The
clear width of the opening will be 2000mm and a height
of 3000mm. The Doors will meet the requirement set out
in TGD M 1.2.

There will be Structural glazing between Cafe and Leisure Pool

Wall Build Up:
Internal Partition Solid -
The Plasterboard and finish varies throughout the building as each
zone has different requirements (fire) and uses. The basic build up is
