Haylee Beth Maltz registered and completed her TESOL training course at the above TESOL
Institute in May 2009.
After completing her practical observation and teaching in our EFL classes, Haylee accepted
a position as EFL teacher at the Cape Town School of English in August 2009. She started
off as our Intermediate teacher and has flourished in that teaching role.
Haylee is thoroughly familiar with the Headway, Total English and other core textbook used
in EFL teaching and does not hesitate to use and adapt other relevant materials when
necessary to enhance the learning experience of her students. One of her outstanding qualities
is being able to adapt to an ever changing and unpredictable student number in class as well
as language ability. She is able to inspire and encourage the weaker students in her class
while challenging the stronger students. Her experience with and knowledge of people but
particularly young adults has stood her in good stead in handling a wide range of situations in
class, ranging from personal and emotional to historical cultural differences.
