Background:
Attention Deficit Hypertension Disorder
(ADHD) is a neurobehavioral disorder
that affects children locally, nationally,
and globally that can last into
adulthood. The affects of ADHD inhibit
the ability to remain focus, inhibit the
inability to control impulsive behavior,
and the inability to control hyperactivity.
Target population:
ADHD is an epidemic impacting
children across the world between the
ages of 3 and 11.
3 types of ADHD:
• Hyperactive-Impulsive
• Inattentive
• Combined Hyperactive-
Impulsive and Inattentive
ADHD Diagnosis completed in the
comfort of a child’s:

• Doctor’s Office

Recommendations for Improving ADHD
Treatment:
• Implement Mental Health Plans to assist low
income families
• Improve Psychologist Quality of Service
and reduction in the over prescribing of
stimulant medication.
• Implementation of new innovative
neurosurgical procedures to improve brain
function in children.
Summary:
In conclusion, the barriers that children experience
with the challenges of ADHD can be overcome as
long as the government, health officials, researchers,
psychologist, health departments, parents, family
members, and friends work together in order to
promote awareness and provide continuous
evaluations of new approaches that can be used to
prevent ADHD.
