How Important is the print advert to promote artist/album?

• It used to be that printed
advert in magazine and at
bus stops were the only
source for the general public
to know about new releases
but today it is becoming less
common to the vast boom in
technology and peoples
dependance on the internet.
We now see online
advertisements more than
as magazine adverts
become less common.

3. However….
• But it is still an essential
technique for some bands
to be able advertise their
wares. It has even
become a trend for most
teenagers to have band
posters on their wall.

• I think that the
advertisement is probably
more effective on oder
age groups a they have
grown up without the
technology we have
access to today and may
rely on printed
advertisement to inform
then of events.

5. In conclusion…
• I think that today printed album advertisement
is still effective but due to advances and
dependance on technology it may fade. Even
in the last few years there has been an
obvious decrease in magazine adverts and
posters around cities and this will decrease
further as the years go on.
