Work Experience:
January 2011 to present – Kendall College, Chicago, IL - Clinical Practice Supervisor –
Clinical Practice Supervisor- Kendall College School of Education. Work with students
throughout Illinois in the final stage of completion of requirements for degree and licensure to
teach in Illinois. Averaging 4 or more students per term, travel to the schools where students are
assigned working with Cooperating Teachers and administrators and students during their
Clinical Practice completing evaluations, making recommendations to students and Cooperating
Teachers for student success, and complete final packet for submission to the School of Education
before submission to the state of Illinois. I also worked with Kendall College to implement edTPA
in the field and in the transition to this system of licensure. Position includes advisement and
counseling of students along this path. Work with other Kendall College professionals to support
students completing an online class during the Clinical Practice.
October 1997 to August 2010 – University of Illinois- Extension - McLean County Community
Compact – Bloomington, Illinois - Position consisted of two distinct jobs under one umbrella. Positions
work in tandem in McLean County and beyond.
• McLean County Community Compact Executive Director –Not-for-profit organization. Duties
included leading Board of Directors, organizational development, financial management,
membership support and recruitment, operation of workforce development programs, and
management of budget and additional grants. Supervised returned Peace Corp Fellows,
AmeriCorps students, and master’s degree interns and other employees. Developed curricula for
over 80 business education partnerships and created academic programs for students in anti-
bullying, ATOD prevention, College 101 programs.
• Community and Economic Development Educator (CED) –A member of a state wide team of
CED Educators. Duties including community engagement, workforce development, community
visioning, and strategic planning. Completed community swaps, organizational and community
strategic plans, and economic development projects.
2. May 2008 to present – Part time faculty in graduate studies –Illinois State University – Stevenson
Center for Community and Economic Development – Normal, Illinois
• Taught courses in Community and Economic Development as needed. Classes include Strategic
Planning in Organizations and Communities, Non-Profit Management, and Leadership in the
Community.

• Recruited students and student groups from area schools and community groups
• Developed College Fairs and presented during special engagements of the College
