2. Balurghat is a city and a municipality in the state of West Bengal. It is a district
of Dakshin Dinajpur. It’s population 151,416. It’s language is Bengali and
additional official language is English.

Natua portrays the pious love of Krishna and Radha. All performance are
based on love and affection of Radha-Krishna.

Balurghat is a rich source of
fish due to ATREEYI river. Some
varieties are popular like
Salmone, Magur, Hilsa, Carp etc.
50% of population are farmer in
this area. So all most every types
and varities of vegetables are
grown here. Bengalis are
incomplete without sweets.
Rosogolla , Misti doi, sandesh are
popular .
Heritage
Bangarh iis probably the
most historical place in entire
district. It is situated 45 kms away
from town. During Gupta period,
the whole of North Bengal was
known as Pundra Vardhana
Bhukti which now boasts of the
largest share of archaeological
ruins.
4. Bolla Kali Temple is located at Bolla vilage, located at a distance of
about 20 kms from town. There is a famous legend associated with the
temple. The legend says that once a Zamindar was arrested by the
british,owing to failur to pay the zamindari tax. To rescue the zamindar,
goddess Kali appeared.then the grateful Zamindar started worship her.
Every year after RAAS PURNIMA on FridayKali puja is celebrate in temple.
