There is a ppt presentation on the process of PCB Designing . That will help others to made their own ppt in this topic. They can use it as a guidance but it is advised not to copy from this. There might be many topics that was not covered in this ppt. So, you can improve that in your own ppt
2. WHAT IS PCB ?
• A printed circuit board (PCB) is an
electronic assembly that uses copper
conductors to create electrical connections
between components.
• It provides mechanical support for
electronic components so that a device
can be mounted in an enclosure.
• It is considered as an insulating material
which can be developed using epoxy on
which copper layer is laminated.
4. WHAT IS PCB MADE OF
• Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are usually a flat
laminated composite made from non-
conductive substrate materials with layers of
copper circuitry buried internally or on the
external surfaces.
The basic components of PCB are:-
Prepreg
Copper foil
Solder mask
Final finish
6. SCHEMATICS PREPARATION
• First of all we need to make the
circuit from any Software.
• Schematics Contains the whole
circuit diagram with components
position on it.
• There is many software for this
type of operation, e.g – Autodesk
EAGLE,Ni Multisim,Fusion 360,Ansys
RedHawk.
7. LAYOUT PREPARATION
• In this step we mainly have to
printout the output taken from
the simulation software.
• It can be in normal paper.
8. PRESSING
• Now the diagram we have as
layout needs to be transferred
on copper clad.
• We will use Iron pressing for
the procedure.
• After that the paper on the
copper clad must be removed
gently.
9. ETCHING
• This is done by removing the
excess copper from the copper
laminate, only leaving the required
circuit on it.
• There is two type of Etching, Wet
Etching and Dry Etching
• Chemicals used in wet Etching -
Ferric Chloride (FeCl3), Cupric
Chloride (CuCl2),etc.
• After Etching we need to remove
the resist part gently.
10. DRILLING
• We need to drill the holes
where the components need
to be placed.
• Some times at the four corner
of the PCB we make four holes
larger than other to give
support in any place.
11. ASSEMBLY
• Assemble all the components by
soldering.
• If we use one sided PCB and some
Both side connections are there in
the circuit , then we need to use
jumper wires as shown in the image.
12. FINAL TEST
• The PCB design is ready and
final test needs to be happen
because through the whole
procedure some times failure
may be occur in any step. We
need to find them and repair
them.
13. CONCLUSION
• The invention of the PCB that supports physical electronic
components and their wiring through the surface-mounted
copper tracks is remarkable. Printed circuit boards, PCBs, form
an essential part of any electronics equipment these days. The
PCB design and layout forms an integral part of the design of
the whole product, and it can be the key to the success of the
product meeting its performance requirements
in many instances.
