4. WHAT IS SPACE-TIME?
• There are billions of stars in the millions of galaxies in the entire universe, most of
which are still unknown to humans despite all these advancements.
• Yes we can see many of them at night but the reality is a little bit different
because what we see is not exactly what’s happening at that particular moment.
• The light we see in the dark stary skies has been travelling for millions of years in
the universe to meet our eyes.
• No one knows what’s happening at the very moment in universe because we
humans have our limitations, the point is today’s reality will show up after millions
of years.
5. • For example, light from the Sun takes eight and a half minutes to reach
Earth, we wouldn't notice immediately if the Sun suddenly went out.It
will take 8 minutes to mark it’s effects on the Earth.
• Without the Sun’s warmth, Earth would quickly become a much colder
place. Fortunately, Earth retains heat fairly well, so humans wouldn't
freeze instantly.
6. MODERN POINT OF VIEW ABOUT THE CREATION
OF THE UNIVERSE
• According to modern sciences this universe is a result of big blast in a huge ball
of gasses and all these planets and stars are the results of this major cosmic
change.
• According to Stephen Hawking "There is a singularity in our past, which
constitutes, in some sense, a beginning to the universe."
• Hawking described it. From this single point, our entire expanding universe burst
forth, bringing with it all the laws of time and space we understand today.
7. • QURANIC POINT OF VIEW ABOUT THE
CREATION OF THE UNIVERSE
• The creation of this vast universe is no coincidence In the beginning Allah created
the earth and heavens.
• The earth was without form and void and there was nothing but darkness.
• Then Allah said, “Let there be light”’ and there was light.
• Allah separated the light from the darkness.
• Allah called the light “Day”, and the darkness He called “Night”.
8. • The Qur'an further states that Allah created the sun, the moon, and the
planets, each with their own individual courses or orbits.
9. THE LEGEND OF THE “SEVEN SLEEPERS”
It refers to a group of seven young believers who escaped a torture since they
believed in one god and hid in a cave and fell into a deep sleep along with a dog.
One day, the Seven Sleepers awoke, imagining that they had slept one day, and sent
One of them to buy food. Upon arriving in the city, he was astounded to find the city
completely changed and when he wanted to buy a bread, the baker said the coins he
had were not valid anymore. He immediately turned back to the cave and told it to
his friends. They eventually understood that they actually slept for 309 years. Not
knowing what to do, the Seven Sleepers finally fell into an eternal sleep.
11. THE MIRACLE OF ISRA(NIGHT JOURNEY) AND
MIRAJ (ASCENSION)
12. • One of the greatest miracles of the Prophet(PBUH) is the miracle of Night
Journey (Isra) and Ascension (Miraj), which is mentioned and narrated by the
Quran, authentic hadith resources and history resources.
• On the 27th night of the month of Rajab , acting upon the call from God Almighty
and guided by Jibril, the Prophet (PBUH) went from the Kaaba in Makkah to
Masjid al-Aqsa in and then to the sky, to the high realms and to the presence of
Allah.
13. QURANIC EVIDENCE
• It is stated in the chapters of al-Isra and an-Najm in the Quran how the miracle of
Night Journey and Ascension took place. The verses regarding the issue are as
follows:
“While he was in the highest part of the horizon: Then he approached and
came closer, And was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer;
So did (Allah) convey the inspiration to His Servant what He meant to
convey.”
