Client has an an integrated managed health care consortium, based in Oakland, California, United
States; It is one of the largest managed health care organization in the United States. IBM manages
Client's data center operations (including computer systems, storage systems and associated software).
Kaiser Permanente manages applications only.
Client environment has 150+ VMAX, 150+ DMX, 75+ CLARiiON, 60+ Celerra, 10+ VNX,
56 Netapp (FAS), 10+ ESS,2 DS8000, 6 SVC, 15 XIV , 5 Isilons (OneFS 7.x), DataDomain and EDLs
connected to o AIX, Windows, Sun Solaris, VmWare ESX and VIO (virtual I/O) servers via 350+ Brocade
and McData switches which spans over 7 Data Centers and houses over 55 PETABYTES of Data.
Backup architecture is with Flashcopy, BCV, Time finder clone and Snap setup being implemented over
TSM backup servers and Avamar backup solution . The DR site actually doubles up as a secondary
production/testing/development environment with the implementation of SRDF.
Entire Service Delivery involves over 250+ support teams with whom, we co-ordinate over

Client environment has 150+ VMAX, 150+ DMX, 75+ CLARiiON, 60+ Celerra, 10+ VNX, 56 Netapp (FAS), 10+ ESS,2 DS8000, 6 SVC, 15 XIV , 5 Isilons (OneFS 7.x), DataDomain and EDLs connected to o AIX, Windows, Sun Solaris, VmWare ESX and VIO (virtual I/O) servers via 350+ Brocade and McData switches which spans over 7 Data Centers and houses over 55 PETABYTES of Data. Backup architecture is with Flashcopy, BCV, Time finder clone and Snap setup being implemented over TSM backup servers and Avamar backup solution .
