environment, insuring complete data governance and proper data lineage. Worked directly with model
developers to fully automate all processes, mitigate all operational risk, maintain highly stringent audit
requirements, and establish ongoing model performance monitoring. All technical aspects of model design
and usage as well as entire data lineage were required to be fully documented, archived, and available to both
internal and Federal Reserve audit.
CITIGROUP, Irving, Texas 6/08 to 8/14
Vice President – Risk Management Office of Data Governance
Senior member responsible for managing all aspects of Data Governance within the Risk Reporting Team for
Small Business Consumer and Commercial Retail Banking. Formulated overall strategy, and provided project
direction to all team members within Risk Reporting. Oversight of all areas related to Basel, CCAR,
Regulatory, Audit and Data Governance. Responsible for the design, creation and accuracy of all data
repositories, timely and accurate deliverables to all clients both internal and external, as well as the continued
development and maintenance of an extremely large, complex production environment.
Existing processes were continuously improved, and standards established which enabled the team to provide
upper management with the necessary strategic long term risk metrics required to improve the bottom line. By
successfully partnering with leaders and analysts across all business groups, our team designed, developed and
delivered the accurate analysis necessary to successfully implement critical policy changes which directly
resulted in both decreased loses and delinquencies. Encouraged direct, proactive interaction with modelers on
issues related to loan loss reserves, troubled debt reporting, expected losses, Risk Weighted Assets, and new
Basel II requirements. Used this knowledge to increase the robustness of data repositories and effectively
increase data lineage within the whole organization.
CITICAPITAL, Mahwah, NJ and Irving, Texas 4/04 to 6/08
Vice President - CitiCapital Strategic Portfolio Management
Responsible for the design, development and creation of all credit scoring reports and analysis for multiple
portfolios within Citi Capital’s Strategic Portfolio Management group. By introducing the use of the SAS
Output Delivery System to create fully formatted Excel spreadsheets which could be directly imported into
PowerPoint, the time required to produce reports for senior management was reduced from over 2 weeks to
less than one day. This innovation greatly revolutionized the way reports were created in all of CitiCapital
2. going forward. Additionally, the design of a new data repository for the two largest portfolios facilitated the
fast creation of ad-hoc reports which could now be produced within minutes instead of hours.
JP MORGAN CHASE, New York, NY 11/02 to 4/04
SAS Consultant – JP Morgan Chase Portfolio Analysis
Developed a macro driven series of SAS programs in support of a financial modeling system used to determine
potential customer elasticity based upon demographics and prior financial behaviors. A second SAS system
was also developed to identify International Private Banking Customers based upon data from a variety of
different corporate sources. Custom algorithms were created to score each customer based upon both the
number and quality of data sources in which they were found. This algorithm greatly increased the speed with
which the team was able to correctly identify those customers who belonged within the targeted group, and the
refined client list was then used as the basis for a custom direct mail advertising campaign. Analyzed and re-
wrote the Retirement Accounts Reporting System used to segment customer data within the FDIC and non-
FDIC investment arena. During my tenure, I introduced many system efficiencies which greatly reduced the
processing time and improved the overall quality of output produced.
LINENS ‘n’ THINGS CORPORATION, Clifton, NJ 4/00 to 11/02
Senior Programmer and Analyst - Marketing Department
Responsible for the development and maintenance of a Web Based sales and transaction reporting system
utilizing SAS macros and the HTML based Output Delivery System. In addition to creating both daily and
weekly sales reports, this tool was used as the basis for all subsequent analysis performed within the marketing
department. Various statistical methods such as regression analysis and variance were used to track the results
of various marketing campaigns, discover trends in customer behavior, and perform year over year sales
comparisons. This resulted in the improved scheduling and timing of marketing efforts, adjustments to
corporate policy concerning the use of couponing, and improved sales campaigns.
COMPUTER HORIZONS CORP., Mountain Lakes, NJ 6/98 to 12/99
Senior Programmer - THE PRUDENTIAL Electronic Eligibility Year 2000 Project
ELI LILLY Year 2000 Compliance Project
Responsible for the review, evaluation, and successful modification of all SAS code present within these two
large systems to mitigate any exposure due to improper date valuations. Quality assurance and rigorous testing
were subsequently performed on all modifications made to insure Y2K compliance and regression integrity of
all program output.
AEROTEK CONSULTING INC., Parsippany NJ 1/98 to 6/98
Senior Programmer for Remote Data Entry at SCHERING-PLOUGH
Analyzed, evaluated and redesigned Schering-Plough’s existing non Y2K compliant methodology for
receiving clinical pharmaceutical data from investigators located worldwide. Rewrote the existing system
using SAS CONNECT utilities to control communications with remote facilities and perform the necessary
uploads to the centralized mainframe database.
COMPUTER HORIZONS CORP., Mountain Lakes, NJ 6/96 to 12/97
Senior Programmer for the ERISA Project at THE PRUDENTIAL
As Senior Programmer and Architect for this high profile development effort, I was instrumental in creating
the design of the overall system architecture and setting system standards used throughout. These two
accomplishments proved to be extremely valuable in minimizing both the development time required and the
impact of the continuously changing project requirements. This architecture decreased development time by
over 50%, and allowed the auditing process to more easily certify results. As project lead, I was also
responsible for assessing the impact which new system requirements placed upon both system development
time and human resources.
AT&T CORPORATION, Piscataway, NJ 8/83 to 6/96
Project Leader for the Global Markets Lead List Development Group 11/95 to 6/96
As Lead Technician, Analyst and Project Leader, I assumed responsibility for all aspects of the lead generation
process with the Global Markets group. Strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage existing
resources, improve data quality, and investigate new technology were required to insure client satisfaction in
this demanding, fast paced environment.
