2. Shoulder Sling
Indication
• Conservative therapy of clavicular fractures
Contraindication
• Material interactions/allergies
• Do not wear directly on injured, irritated or damaged skin
• Open fractures
• Sensation disorders
Mode of Action
• Fixation of the collar bone
• Pulling back the entire shoulder girdle („rucksack sling“)
• Relief of clavicular fractures

3. Shoulder Joint Sling for immobilization in a defined position
Indication
• Shoulder injuries such as distortions, contusions
• Subluxation and luxation of the shoulder joint, luxation fracture
• Humeral head- and humeral shaft fractures
• Injuries of the rotator cuff
• Post-surgical care
Contraindication
• Material interactions/allergies
• Do not wear directly on injured, irritated or damaged skin
• Arterial occlusions
• Congestions of the lymphatic system
Mode of Action
• Fixation of the entire arm during shoulder injuries
• Can also be worn over light clothing

4. Elbow Compression Support with silicone pads
Indication
• Epicondylopathies (e.g. tennis-, golfer´s elbow)
• Osteoarthritis/arthritis
• Post-surgical and posttraumatic irritation
• Tendomyopathy
Contraindication
• Material interactions/allergies
• Do not wear directly on injured, irritated or damaged skin
• Circulatory or sensory disorders of the hand
• Paralysis (e.g. hemiparesis)
• For longer resting periods (e.g. sleeping etc.), the support should be
removed, as it develops its therapeutic effect especially during
physical activity

5. Elbow Compression Support with silicone pads
Mode of Action
• Supports and protects ligaments, capsules, joint and cartilage
• Relieves the joint
• Helps to avoid wrong movements
• Due to the special knitting technique and the integrated silicone
pads, the support provides compression of the soft parts in the elbow
area
• Improves blood circulation and lymph drainage, which reduces
swelling, eases the pain and helps to improve joint function
• The breathable, innovative functional fibre Xtra-Dry increases the
wearing comfort considerably

Indication
• Radiodorsal tendon rupture
• Injuries of the fingertips and nail bed
• Ligament sprain and lesion
• Ruptures of the lateral parts of the pulley
Contraindication
• Material interactions/allergies
• Do not wear directly on injured, irritated or damaged skin
Mode of Action
• Immobilization of the fingers and the thumb
• Immobilization and protection of the finger end joint and finger stops
• Hook and loop fasteners can be attached individually and
guarantees necessary grip

7. Wrist Support with silicone pad, strap and volar reinforcement,
individually adjustable
Indication
• Arthrosis
• Wrist injuries (e.g. sprains)
• Tendovaginitis
• Sensation of instability (e.g. rheumatic pain)
• Wrist pain
Contraindication
• Material interactions/allergies
• Do not wear directly on injured, irritated or damaged skin
• Circulatory disorders of the hand
• Lymph drain malfunctions (swellings distal from the applied support)
• For longer resting periods (e.g. sleeping etc.), the support should be
removed, as it develops its therapeutic effect especially during physical
activity

8. Wrist Support with silicone pad, strap and volar reinforcement,
individually adjustable
Mode of Action
• Use the support to stabilize the wrist
• The integrated pressure pad made of visco-elastic material gently
compresses the wrist and massages the soft tissue during movements
• Improves blood circulation, which benefits healing of haematomas
and swellings
• The pre-shaped and individually adjustable palm support fixes the
hand in a neutral resting position

Indication
• Arthrosis
• Injuries of the wrist (e.g. distortion)
• Tendovaginitis
• Pain in the wrist (e.g. rheumatic pain)

• Ligamental injuries
• Post-operative after injuries, surgery, after removing plaster casts
Contraindication
• Material interactions/allergies

• Circulatory or lymphatic disorders
• Sensory discomfort

10. Wrist Orthosis for immobilization in two directions of movement
Mode of Action
• By means of the hook- and loop fastening system, consisting of three
individually adjustable fasteners, the wrist orthosis can be optimally
adapted to the hand shape
• The mobility of the thumb maintains
• The anatomically shaped and according to indication adjustable wide
palm brace secures the hand in functional position therefore the
extensor muscle of the forearm can relax and the enthesis at the
elbow is relieved
• Two spiral coils at the back of the hand increase stability
• Elastic insert facilitates the donning of the orthosis

Purpose of the Device
Provides rigid support of the lumbosacral spine in the coronal plane
and maximum resistance to extension
Indications
• Instability of spinal levels L 2 - L 5
• Lumbar spinal fractures
• Osteoarthritis
• Spondylolisthesis
• LBP (lower back pain)
• Degenerative disc disease
• Spinal stenosis
• Post-operative stabilization
• Disc herniation

Purpose of the Device
• Provides rigid support of the lumbosacral region in all three planes
Indications
• Instability of spinal levels L2 - L5
• Osteoarthritis
• Low back pain
• Spinal stenosis
• Disc herniation
• Spinal fracture
• Spondylolisthesis
• Degenerative disc disease
• Post-operative support required

13. Back Brace, LSO, Two-Piece Design, Custom
Common Additions
• Thigh extension, with hip joint and drop lock
• Pantaloon design (no joint added - solid plastic piece is part of the
posterior section), to limit pelvic motions
Special Considerations
For L5 and S1 involvement, add a thigh cuff for increased control

14. Back Brace, Lumbosacral Corset
Purpose of the Device
• Provides mild control of the lumbosacral spine in all three planes
Indications
• Low back pain
• Transverse and/or spinous process fracture
• Degenerative disc disease (DDD)
• Post-operative support
Common Additions
Para-spinal steel stays contoured to the patient’s spine

15. Back Brace, Scoliosis Orthosis, Boston Back Brace
Purpose of the Device
• Provides corrective forces to the thoraco-lumbar spine
• Incorporates abdominal inter-cavity pressure to reduce lumbar
lordosis
• Most commonly used for patients prior to skeletal maturity
Indications
• Scoliosis for T8, L5 apex
• Excessive lumbar lordosis and associated conditions
Common Additions
• Thoracic, lumbar and trochanteric corrective pads
• Thoracic gussets
Special Considerations
Obesity hinders proper fit and effectiveness of the orthosis

16. Back Brace, TLSO, CASH (Cruciform Anterior Sagital
Hyperextension)
Purpose of the Device
• Provides rigid support of the thoraco lumbar spinal region in the
anterior/sagittal plane
• Provides three-point pressure support
Indications
• Anterior vertebral body fracture at spinal levels T5 through L5
• Degenerative joint disease
• Ankylosing spondylitis
• Kyphosis as a result of osteoporosis
• Rheumatic arthritis
• Scheuerman’s kyphosis

17. Back Brace, TLSO, CASH (Cruciform Anterior Sagital
Hyperextension)
Common Additions
• Superior pad may be changed to a dual pad resting in the sub
clavicular fossa
Special Considerations
Severe obesity may require use of a jewett to accommodate pendulous
abdomen
