Promoting Indigenous perspectives of wellness as more than an absence of illness and strengthening connection to culture, community, and spirituality are key to improving mental health outcomes. Community-led, culturally safe practices that are trauma-informed show promise for holistically supporting Indigenous peoples' wellbeing.
