FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
NEEDTOBREATHE MAKES STOP AT THE STATE THEATRE AS A PART OF NORTH AMERICA TOUR
STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Aug. 15 – As a part of "The Stomping Ground Tour", NEEDTOBREATHE will make a stop at The
State Theatre Friday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m., as they continue on their trek around North America. The headlining tour kicks off on
September 27, giving fans a sneak peek at their upcoming album available in early 2014.
With their reputation as a must-see live act, NEEDTOBREATHE embarks on a six-week run where the band will bring
their exhilarating live show to intimate venues such as NY's Bowery Ballroom, Athen's 40 Watt and Nashville's Exit/In.
Artistic Director Richard Biever shares why The State is excited to see NEEDTOBREATHE perform there.
“We're looking to diversify our programming and also to bring acts that have wide-range drawing power.
NEEDTOBREATHE does both! This alternative rock band is very successful artistically and commercially. We couldn't
be more excited to have them coming to The State.”
The group's upcoming album that fans will get a sneak peek of during the tour is the follow up to their album “The
Reckoning” which The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly and USA Today, among others, praised for its
songwriting that touches on the classic elements of rock with arena-ready choruses. “The Reckoning” debuted at #6 on the
Billboard Top 200.
"This tour is about us getting back to our roots. There's nothing more exciting than feeling music together in an
up- close and intimate setting. We're inviting our fans to experience some of our favorite venues across the country that
played a big part in making us the band that we are today," says Bo Rinehart.
The State Theatre provides this exact intimate environment with spectacular sound, making it the perfect fit for
inclusion in their “ Stomping Ground Tour”.
NEEDTOBREATHE spent most of 2010 and 2011 on the road, selling out shows at Nashville's famed Ryman Auditorium, along
with famed venues in New York, Austin, Denver, Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto. The band also performed alongside
Bruce Springsteen, appeared at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, and performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late
Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Conan. Check out the much talked about performance on The Late Show with David
Letterman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euUXRgBSsqU
