charities. Among other contributions, Stacy Stine Cary
has served as a scout leader and cookie mom for the
Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas (GSNETX).
GSNETX is part of the larger Girl Scouts of the United
States of America (GSUSA) organization, which
includes nearly 2 million members and approximately
800,000 volunteers. Founded in 1812 in Savannah,
Georgia, GSUSA works to help young girls uncover
their life passions and personal strengths while
building character.
3. Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas
GSNETX works toward this goal through regular
programs and events, including the upcoming
Camp Skills Workshop. Scheduled for October at
the Southern Sector Service Center in Dallas, the
workshop allows girls to learn many different
camping skills. Additionally, adults who attend can
earn Troop Camp certification.
